ED ROBINSON

AUTHOR

Born on a small farm in the Finger Lakes region of western New York, Ed grew up in the outdoors and developed a life-long interest in the wild creatures around him.  Ed is an avid outdoorsman and loves exploring the many beautiful parts of Maine.     

For 15 years he has done extensive wildlife habitat improvement work at his old farm near Ithaca, NY.  Ed is active with conservation groups including Maine Audubon, the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, Ducks Unlimited and Trout Unlimited.  

He began his career and studied photography at Eastman Kodak, then spent 35 years in life sciences across 40 countries, leading companies in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical fields.  During that time Ed had assignments in Singapore, Australia, England and Mexico.  Ed and his wife moved to Orr’s Island in Harpswell, ME in 2007.

Ed’s education includes a B.Sc. in Marketing and Management from Clarkson University in Potsdam, NY and an MBA in Management from the Rochester Institute of Technology, Rochester, NY.  He also attended the Executive Management Program at Pennsylvania State University, in University Park, PA.  

Currently Ed serves on the Biologics Advisory Board for Catalent Inc.  In his spare time, Ed is a trustee of the Harpswell Heritage Land Trust and a board member for Maine Operation Game Thief (an anti-poaching organization).
