Sherry Anderson

weaving

Sherry discovered and fell in love with the art of weaving when she moved to the Boston area in 1983. She learned how to weave at a yarn shop in Arlington, MA.  She creates rayon chenille scarves, bread baskets cloths, table runners, and sachets. She feels that the greatest reward from weaving is experiencing the wonderful reaction from people who see, touch and treasure the finished piece.

In addition to weaving, Sherry is a decoupage and paper jewelry artist. She lives in Holliston, and her studio is located in the sunroom of her 1884 antique home. In addition to creating artwork through the years, she worked in public relations, marketing and fundraising in arts, healthcare and non-profit organizations. While raising her two sons, she was an active volunteer in Holliston. She is a huge Red Sox fan.

Sherry is one of the owner/artists of Five Crows Gallery.
