Lynsey Day Vanderbeck

Sweetest Hue

Hand-Painted Clothing

Lynsey creates hand-painted, wearable baby clothes with her own original designs. She offers matching baby bodysuits and baby hat sets, using organic cotton, fair trade clothing that is soft on the skin, and is washing machine and dryer friendly. She also paints on upcycled, jean overall clothing for babies and children. She takes orders for children's t-shirt, with their favorite animal and a name added.

Lynsey grew up near the vineyards on the Long Island Sound in New York. She attended The Art Institute of Boston for part of her higher education. “The name "Sweetest Hue" came naturally because I love colors and I love our son, Hugh!” says Lynsey. He is the sweetest, best person I know.” She works out of her studio in her Circa 1723 home in Rhode Island.  Lynsey is a firm believer in shopping locally and buying handmade.

In addition to baby clothes, Lynsey makes upcycled fingerless gloves and whimsical pottery.
