Julia Steen

Fiber

Julia has been knitting since she was a teenager and taught herself to crochet when her sons (both in their 20’s) were toddlers.  A former lawyer, pre-school teacher and organic farm worker, Julia now teaches knitting and crochet to people of all ages — she loves to share her passion for the fiber arts.

Julia’s favorite things to make are mittens. She also designs her own knitting patterns and lists them for sale on Ravelry and Etsy. She donates 100% of the sale proceeds from her patterns to various charities).

When there are no knitting needles or crochet hooks around, Julia can be found spending time outside with her husband Rob and their tripod rescue dog Molly.
