Jim Pizzi

Silversmith

Jim Pizzi, of Holliston, practiced dentistry for 31 years before changing lanes to pursue a second career in jewelry fabrication. Jim felt a need for additional schooling to re-direct his hand skills and attended Boston’s North Bennet Street School for Jewelry Making and Repair. The demanding two year program focused on the technical skills needed to become a professional bench jewelry. Working with silver, gold and precious stones, Jim has taken this knowledge to create pieces of jewelry that are expressions of his imagination. All his pieces are handcrafted, originating from stock metals that are shaped into pieces utilizing a multitude of techniques ranging from forging, piercing, dapping, carving, twisting, stone setting, engraving and polishing. Perfection is a goal that Jim continues to pursue throughout the creative process.
