Children’s Clothing

As an avid recycler and parent of five kids - Brady Bunch style, the idea for a recycled children’s clothing line arose out of sheer necessity – “What to do with all these nice hand-me-downs?”. After many trips to clothing donation stores and yard sales (shopping while dropping off), and seeing so much potential in the baby/children’s clothing there, I began to “rescue” items, “recycle” them by cutting/sewing them together in new ways, and “redoing” them with a few pieces of ribbon, lace, and buttons. The name of the line – re3 – simply reflects this process; each item has been “rescued”, “recycled”, and “redone” to create a one-of-a-kind, wearable work of Earth-friendly art…

Each piece is uniquely titled, hand-sewn, and machine washable (with a few exceptions noted on the tags). It is hoped that these will become useful hand-me-downs one day, each with a history of its own and a story in its stitches.

And, if you find there is a favorite baby blanket, dress, sweater, etc., that you just can’t seem to part with but are keeping in the attic, consider having it made into something your child can still wear or use. Custom designs and requests are gladly received!
