Debra Mascott

Children’s Knit Sweaters

Debra has been knitting for approximately 15 years. This has been the first time she is pursuing the artistic and creative side of each project.

In 2020, she discovered a niece due in June; an acquaintance due in July; a friend became a grandmother in August and a colleague due in September. All were expecting baby girls. She knit not just one baby sweater, but two for each.

The pattern was easy to learn; great to master and lent itself to lots of options. She experimented with color combinations, varied the stitches, changed fibers and added unique buttons to each sweater.

So, she reasoned, she enjoyed knitting the sweaters, why not showcase them?  It has become her passion to explore fibers, stitches, shapes, colors and details.

She joins dozens and dozens of other knitters who specialize in hand knits, but she hopes her combination of elements will entice new mothers, grandmothers family and friends to buy.

Debra is an Instructional Designer/Trainer at Bentley University where she designs online courses for faculty.  She has a Masters in Education from University of Massachusetts, Boston and an MBA from Suffolk University and a BA from Clark University.  She lives in Framingham.
