Robbin Bell is an enthusiastic feltmaker and knitter who has studied feltmaking with Beth Beede and Polly Stirling, among others. She’s been a watercolor painter and student of color interaction for many years. Her felted pieces are useful and colorful and they reflect her interest in color. All of the felt is handmade from richly dyed marino wool fleece. The pieces are generally constructed of layers of color, much like a watercolor painting, where colors interact and are translucent. She learned to knit while living in Denmark. Her knitted pieces are mostly done in Domino Knitting style, a Danish technique where the piece is built in a mosaic fashion, rather than in rows. Robbin is the owner of Wool Endowed and a member of the Northeast Felters Guild |
