I have always liked to design and working with colors and textures by beading, knitting, or sewing; so when I was eight years old, I started the Artful Bead Company.  Now that I am eleven, I have really started to focus on my business and get more serious about it.   For me, when I take just a few beads and see a whole necklace in my mind, it feels like a portal to a whole new world has just opened for me.

 Process of My Work: 

I begin by taking some beads or semi-precious stones and grouping them together into a “set”. I particularly enjoy working with Swarovski crystal, and semi-precious stones such as jasper, onyx, lapis, and turquoise.  Once I have my “sets”, I get busy. Using my design board, I pull out small, medium, and large beads and I arrange them so that they complement each other in a design that showcases every single bead.  When I am selling my work, and somebody comes by and tries on one of my necklaces, and tells me how much they love it, and how well it goes with their outfit, I feel a great deal of satisfaction and accomplishment.
