I live in Natick with my husband, Ed Perry, and our daughter, Kimberly, who is a student at Union College.  I worked in corporate America for 25 years and became  disillusioned and stressed with the hectic pace.  Fortunately I was able to leave that world behind and begin a new life of painting and making jewelry which gives me great joy and satisfaction.  I established JoLa Designs in March of 2009 and rent space at 3 Adams Street above Five Crows.

I have always loved to paint and draw…mostly landscapes and still life…and do so using oils and pastels.  In the Fall of 2010 I discovered another love….creating necklaces and rings using a variety of beautiful stones/beads/pendants I buy from wherever I travel.  My one-of-a-kind necklaces are usually borne from a single pendant or even the thought of a particular color.  I’ve also created necklaces using pieces or small sections of vintage jewelry. My rings are made using Swarovski crystals, pearls and sterling silver.

 I welcome the opportunity to work with clients on custom orders creating one-of-a-kind pieces.
