Donna Rockwell
Biography
Do Well Design was founded in 1998 by Donna Rockwell and specializes
in the production of graphics for both print and web, illustration in
a variety of media, and original works of art. After spending many
years doing graphic design, and some teaching, I have joyfully
returned to my painting roots and started to produce fine art pieces
and custom tiles as Do Well Art.
The subject of my work focuses on the natural beauty found in the
basic presentation of simple foods, raw materials and containers. I
draw inspiration for the still life from the ingredients found in
common, everyday recipes, presenting them in a straightforward
arrangement. In my artwork, I have attempted to capture the beauty,
simplicity, and vibrancy of color found in nature, and explore the
role of light in the still life setting.
