Wo
rking
in silver, copper, brass, gold, precious and semi-precious stones, pearls and
beads, I create one-of-a-kind adornments
inspired by water (the New England seacoast I visit often and the Charles River
I look upon every day), earth (the cool and
quiet woods of the river’s banks and the windswept dunes, scrub and rugged rock
of the Atlantic shore), and fire
(reflections of sun and moon in the metals and stones I choose, shape and
combine).
A dancer by choice for many
years, teaching, performing, choreographing, I was forced to give it up due to
irreversible injury. Seeking new ways to create, I discovered great joy in
working with silver, studying first with Rich Cincotta in Arlington, then with
Gianna Bird.
