Pianist/Singer-Songwriter Anne Marie David has just released her fifth CD of original songs, Turning Home! Anne Marie's music becomes magic under the skilled production of world-renowned producer, Bill Elliott, who previously worked with such diverse artists as Bonnie Raitt, Smokey Robinson, Stevie Nicks, Michael Feinstein, and John Lithgow. With the talented acoustic trio that includes Duke Levine (Aimee Mann), Kevin Barry (Paula Cole), and Mike Rivard (Shawn Colvin), this collection releases the best of these musicians through well crafted songs and tasteful performances. In her solo piano CD, The First Morning, Anne Marie shares her
profound love for family through a series of soulful improvisations.
Along with 11 originals, she offers arrangements of “Morning Has Broken” and “I Danced in the Morning” (Simple Gifts). In her music you’ll hear compassion and empathy. These songs are born in stillness. In her liner notes she refers to one of her pieces as “one of those moments when the piano started a conversation with me, and so we spoke.”

Anne Marie David’s angelic voice and inspired piano playing were early apparent in her childhood parish in rural Minnesota.  The third of ten children who accompanied their mother, the parish music leader, she showed her independence in her soaring adaptations of church piano standards – a trademark of her two solo piano albums: Here I Am, Lord, and Prayer of St. Francis.

A graduate of Berklee College of Music, Anne Marie is the composer of multiple piano scores for religious presses including Augsburg Fortress Publishers and Abingdon Press. Anne Marie’s broad ministry of liturgical music includes directing and teaching, as well as serving on the faculty of the Boston College School of Theology’s Summer Institute.
