Historic District: Pieces of the Past

Know for his process approach, Artist Philip Ilatovsky elegantly combines the use if aged documents, watercolor pen and ink, creating works that are unique pieces of the past.  Actual World War II era letters by unknown authors are superimposed onto faint renderings of historic town structures.  Development blueprints in the sky, anonymous faces and words occupy the downtown in a warm, nostalgic mist.   Reminding of years past and connecting to a familiar place.  Looking into the pictures of the past and seeing ourselves.

Philip lives and works in Natick .  Spends his summers in Russia, and enjoys composing music in his spare time
