Diana Galson-Kooy and Karen Mondell are longtime quilters who started DK Threads to design, sew and sell their unique items to the public. As fabric artists, they use a wide array of materials and techniques in their work. Environmentally friendly, they recycle thread, ribbon and fabric pieces for use in their bowls, which are decorative as well as functional.
Diana and Karen have exhibited their quilts in a number of shows, including Images, which is sponsored by the New England Quilt Museum and takes place every August. They also participate in Newton Open Studios, an exhibition and sale of work by a range of artists throughout Newton.
